About Linda's Creations

My name is Linda and I created this business over 10 years ago, from my love of rag dolls and sewing.    I began sewing when I was 12 years old, after watching my Mom make so many of my clothes for school and even my Senior Prom dress.   I was always in awe of how she could take that flat piece of fabric and make it into something I could actually wear!   I can still see her bent over her cutting table (our dining room table), pinning and cutting - her scissors seemed to fly.   I loved to watch her sew, it was a special time for us together.    To this day, my Mom and I are the best of friends.    My Dad always made things too.    His expertise is with wood.    He has made everyone in our family (and there is a lot of us), something to treasure forever.    We all have bookcases, shelves, cabinets, quilt racks and just about everything we asked him to make for us.    Sometimes we just handed him a picture of something we wanted.   And, he would of course make it for us.

It is this love of creating something with your own hands, and the influence of Mom and Dad, that is the heart of Linda's Creations.   I especially love to create Raggedy Ann dolls .   Somehow it makes me feel as though I'm helping to keep alive Johnny Gruelle's 90 year old legacy of his forever loveable Raggedy Ann.

My dolls have found loving homes all over the world. I have shipped to customers in Ireland, Italy, France, England, Germany, Puerto Rico, Brazil, and nearly every state in the U.S.

To create something special for customers that they happily decorate their homes with or give to special friends is the joy of being Linda's Creations.
